Great Eyeliner. I absolutely love this eyeliner. It’s easy to use and looks great. It is NOT smudge free though and if you’re in the heat it is worse. I will still use it and would buy again. I may try using a makeup setting spray with it.

The best eyeliner in Pen form. I’ve tried them all. To expensive highly rated ones-to the drugstore quality ones. This is one of the best in Pen form because the tip is actually a brush with bristles instead of a sponge. It equally applies smoothly to my eye and it sharpens my wings with just a swipe. Only issue I’ve had with this is the logo paint is coming off in my makeup bag on its own and ends up on my hands, and that it dries out if you leave it for a while. Other than that, I just wanna thank Maybelline for understanding the assignment.

Waterproof, rich color, precision lines. *Update after 2.5 months.*This ended up becoming my go-to liquid, waterproof eyeliner. During the first month or so, I alternated using it between 3 other liquid liners. But I found the staying power and consistent application (i.e., nice flow, rich pigment, even lines) to be more superior than the other brown liquid waterproof pen liners.This one doesn’t cake up as much as the others either. (I mean that the brush tip doesn’t get all gunky or dried out as easily. I tend to apply my liners over a thick, water-resistant cream-to-powder eyeshadow. It’s very easy to keep clean by occassionally wiping the tip down with a damp paper towel or water wipe. Cleaning does not waste a ton of product. Major wins all around!)But it’s finally time to replace this eyeliner. It has started leaking a tiny bit. (The leak is no where near as bad as how the NYX liner leaks. This leak doesn’t create a huge, dripping mess. And I can still actually use the pen; though, the remaining product will probably run out quickly at this point).I think it’s awesome that this eyeliner has lasted at least 3 full months before experiencing a minor problem. Especially since half of the time it was used on a daily basis to draw a medium thick line on my upper eyelids. And I frequently carried it with me whenever I left the house (though, I rarely ever needed a touch up during the day). I have not treated this pen carefully, yet it still performed outstandingly.Some other things to note: It took some practice before I got used to thinner and softer brush. But once I did, I was able to apply it just as easily and quickly, if not easier than any of my other liners. I really appreciate how much accuracy I can achieve with the fine tip and steady flow of product. I just purchased a replacement. I was going to buy another as a backup; but since the first pen worked out so well, I think it’s better if I don’t. I don’t want to waste money letting a second pen sit around just to reach its shelf life. I have other liners left over that will now become my back-up pens.The only one quality that the NYX liner has over this one is that it’s a true brown color… a rich, warm brown. This eyeliner is more of a black-brown color, like most other truly waterproof/water-resistant liquid liners in “brown.” (I’ve noticed that the lighter a brown liquid eyeliner is, the less water-resistance it seems to have. Black liquid eyeliners seem to be have the best water-resistance, but they’re just too bold for me.)The darker color of this eyeliner isn’t a deal breaker for me. Especially since I can still achieve a softer look by creating a finer line. Truly worthy of 5 stars! I figured I’d share since most makeup reviews are based on a really short trial period.*Original review below.*I tried this liquid brush tip eyeliner because I was tired of my Nyx Pro liquid liner leaking all the time.Waterproof: Similar to Nyx. I’ve cried, gotten splashed in the face, and walked thru pouring rain while wearing this eyeliner. As long as I didn’t rub my eyes while the eyeliner was wet, it stayed put. I dried my face by dabbing with a paper towel or washcloth. I’ve even fallen asleep while wearing this eyeline, and it barely budged. The ends (near the outer corners of my eyes) were a bit faded… probably because I have watery eyes, sometimes tear up when laying on my side, and I rub my face around my pillow a lot.Removability: It washes off pretty easily with face wash, water, and a cloth. I do have to wash my eye area twice and use a cloth of some sort to make sure all of the eyeliner is removed from between my lashes. It comes off easily with various makeup removers, including Ponds cold cream.Ease of application: I like brush tip liners better than felt. The brush tip on this pen is soft, but sturdy enough that you have good control during application. It allows you to draw a very thin line. (My preferred waterproof brush tip eyeliners by Nyx and Clio Kill don’t let me draw lines as thin as this one does.) The pen hasn’t clogged up or leaked after at least 6 uses in the span of 2 wks. I clean the tip with a wet cloth/paper towel/gauze after each use (unless just touching up). I’ve had no issues with the liner flaking off, even after layering it on to create a thicker line. The pigment has been rich and consistent.Overall thoughts: I like this eyeliner and would buy it again. However, I prefer a more solid line when applying eyeliner because it just makes the application process quicker and mistakes are less noticeable. This eyeliner can do the same job, but it just takes longer since it’s meant to create thinner lines. It’s great for touching up eyeliner that was applied in a thick or bold manner, since it has such a fine tip. (Sometimes if you go over the same spot, eyeliner pens will actually remove already applied eyeliner. I found this doesn’t do that.) I would recommend this to anyone looking for a waterproof liquid brush-tip eyeliner, who prefers a thinner application or who doesn’t mind taking their time to do their makeup. This thing offers max precision!

Staying power. Love it! ….except it doesn’t stay on. Seems like it never dries and just smudges on lid.

Not smudge or water proof. Smudges easily and design is awkward…lines fine with pointy tip when new but once it’s worn down it will be like lining you’re eye with a lipstick…too wide at the base.

Love it, just wish it would stay on longer. Love the way it goes, it just doesn’t last long enough. But the color is great and I love the applicator, so much better than pencils. And I especially love the cat shaped container… very cute.

Smudges right off. I prefer brown liquid liner because it looks a bit less severe with my features. This product is the smoothest brown liquid liner I’ve found other than Stila’s. The applicator is a brush which means the product itself is more watery & less pigmented. The good part of that is that it has never shown up dried out. The bad part is that it doesn’t perform so well. Easily smudges, doesn’t last more than 5-6 hours on me. If I apply in the AM & have plans later in the day it’s guaranteed I’ll have liner on only 1 eye (if at all). I stopped using it because of this. Still on the hunt for something better!

Ehh kind of difficult to use. This product is take a little time to get used to and it’s hard to apply but once you to apply it will stay on for a very long time which is fantastic I definitely must have if you are a true black eyeliner fan

Even BETTER than Kat Von D Tattoo eyeliner. I ordered this on accident and it was a welcome mistake!! I can’t believe how well this stays on. I am an eyeliner snob… have tried every brand similar to this and am very picky. I wear strip lashes and also am a performer under hot stage lights. I also am in my early 50s and sweat terribly due to age and menopause. I am the woman who buys whatever it takes to keep my makeup in place and need products that don’t run or smear or fade! I am singing and moving on stage for hours and couldn’t be happier with how this outlasts every single expensive brand I have. When I got this, I never intended to actually use it because I thought it was going to just be cheap but for fun I drew a heart on my husband arm while he was sleeping and it stayed on there for a week! We live in Idaho and aren’t just inside people haha. So I decided to actually use it and honestly can’t believe how great it is. It’s also nice and matte and not shiny. The applicator draws a flawless line. I am shocked. I give this product 11 stars out of 10!! Hurray for surprises! 🎤 💦
